Iceland’s Death Metallers ANGIST have been signed by Abyss Records. The band’s self-released five-track EP, "Circle Of Suffering", was made available for the first time in North America by Abyss Records this summer and can be purchased at www.officialabyssrecords.com. Sweden’s GOREMENT have signed a worldwide deal with Century Media Records for the release of the band’s entire recordings. "Within The Shadow Of Darkness – The Complete Recordings" will be released on September 24, 2012 on 2 CD and double vinyl (incl. the 2 CD) as well as digital download. The entire musical content has been remastered from the original master tapes by Dan Swanö, who has already been in charge of the production of GOREMENT’s demos and the "Into Shadows" EP. Dan Swanö comments: "GOREMENT was one of the first bands outside my "circle" that I ever recorded. The first demo was done on a 4 track portastudio, and I must say I am a bit surprised that the sound on that one is the coolest after the restoration!! Gorement could have been so much bigger if they had recorded the 1st album in a studio that would have given them the fat and "gory" sound their music deserves. The songs are catchy and the musicianship high above average in the SweDeath scene at the time. It was a pure pleasure to revisit these recordings and carve out the best sonics possible." Belgian melodic Black Metallers SAILLE have entered Shumcot Studios in Aartrijke (Belgium) with producer Reinier Schenk (GORATH, FLESHMOULD) to begin recording their as yet untitled new album, for a January 2013 release via Code666 Records. Keyboard player Dries Gaerdelen commented: "When creating our new album, I did research on and was inspired by several ancient destruction rituals. The new songs are therefore darker, faster, more aggressive and create a feeling of unease. The lyrics written by frontman Dennie Grondelaers, explore the history of those death rites. With the drums being recorded a while ago, we’ve all got a "recording state of mind" and have a feeling we’re creating more than just songs. We’re looking forward to unleashing our creations on the audience, both on CD and live!" The artwork will be created by Polish digital landscape artist Michal Karcz who also developed the bands former artwork. Swedish Death Metallers ERUPTED will be releasing their debut full-length "In The Grip Of Chaos" via Abyss Records later this year. The track ‘That Which Is Denied Gains Power’ is currently streaming at this location. The band commented: "During the last months of 2011 until April of 2012 we have been doing recordings for our upcoming album. We haven’t had a lot of time to play live, socialize or even drink beer. But now, more than half a year after it was started, our album is on the finishing stretch, and we can proudly present one of the tracks. This album is going to consist of both new and old tracks, some of which our longtime listeners might remember from live shows or earlier recordings.We are currently looking for shows for our summer, and hopefully we will be out showcasing our new material a lot, so keep an eye out for live videos and recordings to get sneak previews of more songs! The whole studio experience has been special because both bass and drums was recorded on an analog tape recorder, which meant a lot of retakes, but we hope that some of the ”live” feeling got recorded on there as well. Besides that the recording experience has been good. Swedish Death Metallers DIABOLICAL have released a pre-production teaser for their upcoming fifth album "Neogenesis" at this location.
