Hopefully the guys of ADVENT OF BEDLAM aren’t disappointed that despite the fact that the VFTD staff is consisting of several die hard Metalheads from Costa Rica only one of the German guys is writing this review. The band has been founded in December 2009 and their first release “Behold The Chaos” was giving me great headaches for weeks. The problem is not a common one these days because the album is just too good for a newcomer release. The five band members are in the position to offer a release full of great musical skills, killer tracks with extreme variety and the most important fact a musical interaction of all band members (instruments) which can’t be reached within only a year of hard work. But as they are a cure for every disease I finally found the explanation which is maybe simple but took me quite a while to find out. The band members already released several albums under the name DecemberS COLD WINTER (already founded in 2000) before they decided to change their name to ADVENT OF BEDLAM. Everybody will agree that the times of cheap layouts and bad recordings from Middle America are gone and “Behold The Chaos” is also on this field the best proof. The style on this release is difficult to summarize but the terminus extreme Metal should give everybody the best impression. The influences are raging from old school Death Metal acts like SACRILEGE up to far more modern bands like BEHEMOTH or ZYKLON. But the band is offering their own interpretation with a lot of heart blood and really impressive and intensive material.
