Kick ass Deathrash from Switzerland! This EP really makes a professional impression. Good production, “nice” cover (row of hangmen) and last but surely not least the music itself shows these guys take themselves seriously and so should everybody. The additional female vocals on ‘Heartless’ and the title track for example are good as well, not like today’s (gothic) flavour, whiningly enerving. Wouldn’t suit ALIENGATES’ style anyway. Actually I’d like to hear Lea Oberthaler (guest singer’s name) in a Metal band (I think). This CD can whole-heartedly be recommended to everybody into Death and Thrash Metal. They have quite a modern or rather: fresh approach based on traditional spirit without those annoying bits some of those hyped ‘major’ bands have that I don’t (want to) understand. I bet you’ll have a lot of fun with “Dark Days Quantum” because I had (and still do). Entertaining indeed. www.aliengates.com
