There is an old saying that more than one way is leading to Rome and speaking about Swedish Death Metal this is for sure still applicable. But if we are talking about this kind of music connected with a sci-fi story about human abduction and a military conspiracy there is only one release which needs to be consulted – HYPOCRISY’s "Abducted". That automatically means that every newcomer needs to have bigger balls to mess up with this masterpiece. Talking about ANACHRONAEON I’m not sure if only the comparison to the bigger brother makes this release so colourless. ‘The New Dawn’ is a concept album which is following the story of military conspiracies within the Swedish and American army and all songs can be classified as melodic Death Metal with small up and downs. Think that maybe GODGORY could be musically a rough indication. But the story is definitely the most interesting part of this release due to the fact that the train is driving almost the complete 40 minutes with the same speed. Only changes within the songs are the clear vocals but even they are used in nearly half of the 7 songs.
