AORNOS
The Great Scorn

With AORNOS from Miskolc in Hungary, we have another one man Black Metal project. If these few words already made you tremble with fear, please read some other review, since AORNOS seems to fulfill all the cliches that can be read about one-man projects and Black Metal. Mastermind Algras recorded an album full of boring Black Metal with keyboards. Intended to be symphonic or epic, “The Great Scorn” is nothing else than boring most of the time. Sometimes things even get worse than boring. In those annoying moments, interesting raging and ice cold guitar rage gets pasted by some wanna-be epic keyboard bullshit or is swept away with a pseudo-epic break. Thus “The Great Scorn” doesn’t even work as a cure for chronic insomnia. Before I end up on someone’s blacklist, I leave you here with some links that might be helpful. For the band, it’s: www.facebook.com/aornosblackmetal, for the label, go to: www.satanath.com/sodp
