(Godz Ov War Productions)

BAALBERITH from Poland don’t drag bones around and start smashing them from the start with their brand of pummeling blackened Death Metal. Although they’re rather a new band, formed in 2015, everything sounds super tight and meaty. “Manhunt” is their debut full-length and I was expecting straight up Black Metal judging by their name, but they choose to maim the listener with mid-paced to fast Death Metal which has resemblance with old GRAVE, HYPOCRISY and even INCANTATION. Not so much in the actual riffs, but the unrelenting delivery and dark heaviness. The lyrics are also themed around serial killings, bones, teeth and mud, rather than any Satanic imagery, so the whole blackened thing can be attributed more to this dark prevaling mood rather than actual style. So it’s meat and bones, masterfully executed, thick sounding Dark Death Metal and without any doubt will nicely fit into the jams between the aforementioned bands adding some freshly boiled blood. It’s also short, clocking in just about half an hour, so it doesn’t get boring, well worth checking out for sure! More band info you will find at Label contact:
