Italian CANNIBAL CORPSE for your perusal. This is a brilliant shout out to CANNIBAL CORPSE’s late ’90s sound and pays homage in the nicest possible way. BECERUS is an Italian Death Metal band based in beautiful Palermo. The album clocks in nicely at 30 minutes which is actually a little more time than what you would anticipate for a sound like this. Track #3, ‘Aggressive Illiterate’, is perhaps the best representation of their sound. Is it bad that I can tell which parts of this track are from which CANNIBAL CORPSE’s songs? I don’t know, I just love it. At the baseline, this is a phenomenal love letter to the genre and the band.
