French bloodbath lovers CARNAL LUST have recorded their 3rd full-length studio record, titled "The Hate Complete" – and according to the info kit that came along with the CD, which by the way was written in the French language, I can get nothing out of it. Pardon my understanding in French but I can hardly even separate French from the Italian language, so… Ahem, cut the fuckin’ crap now, and let’s talk a few well-chosen words at least about CARNAL LUST’s latest plate of blood, gore, guts, sodomy and shit like that, shall we? Oh boy, does this stuff sound slaying, pretty darn amazing and and just kick-ass? It does – in-fuckin’-deed! I don’t know how I possibly haven’t ever heard from this French 5-piece Death Metal band before – but thank a filthy hound of Hades I am so glad I did finally. "The Hate Complete" has been separated to two different chapters, so obviously we do have some sort of concept album in our hands here, even if I really cannot tell again. Pardon my poor French, for the 2nd time. However, the record contains 12 tracks – and each of them sounds like these French lovers of blood & guts have really taken their time while composing carefully this record. Calling this stuff progressive and technical Death Metal – with a light avantgard-ish touch, shouldn’t be that far removed from the musical description what CARNAL LUST represent musically. There’s quite a lot of familiar elements here and there within the album. Occasionally CARNAL LUST remind of later era CANNIBAL CORPSE (check out ‘Dominus Vobiscum’) – and after a little while they almost have like a forcing obsession to sound like some names from the 90s Swedish melo-Black / Death Metal scene (HYPOCRISY, SACRILEGE, NAGLFAR, etc. – you name them. ‘Dreaming In Red’ by that one Swedish band, sounds killer too) – not to talk about the type of vicious and frenzied guitar solos that cannot be found from anywhere else but from this one Mr. Azagthoth school. It’s no exaggerating to say at all but "The Hate Complete" pretty much reeks of a great musical ambition that the guys of CARNAL LUST have obviously got through a breast-milk of their moms already. The whole record is very professionally crafted, right to its every single detail – and undoubtedly there won’t be no competition in the extreme French Metal scene after this album has been unleashed out of its cage. CARNAL LUST prove to be the leading no. 1 force in the French Death Metal scene nowadays. Wanna get a proof for it?
