CHELATION INTOXICATION
Dismemberment (XVIII)

The good thing in life is that you never know what to expect next, always new experiences are waiting to be made. In this case two intros. At first there are some radio transmissions / cosmic noises and then, just when you think the music starts… well there is music, but some strange Russian / Kazakh dancefloor Folk music or something. Difficult to describe. But then the listener is released from this pain and the party starts. Pig screams, low-pitched growls, blast-beats, Grindcore at its best. But CHELATION INTOXICATION play not just fast-forward, particularly the slow parts are pure enjoyment. Just like MUCUPURULENT or GUT from Germany. Maybe these two bands are the best way to describe the style on this EP, the first official release from CHELATION INTOXICATION. The band originates from Malaysia and I have no clue, what the name represents. “Chelation describes a particular way that ions and molecules bind metal ions”, a quote from wikipedia. Some chemical process of decomposing. Well, decomposing sounds more like Grindcore. Accordingly to four songs (plus two intros) there is an ENCEPHALOPATHY cover on this output, the song is named ‘The Sad Story About The Rotten Head In My Fridge’ and only because of the title this songs deserves to be covered. As far as I know this MCD is sold for 10 US Dollars. As much as I like the music on “Dismemberment (XVIII)” I do not know, if I would pay for it. On the one hand the music is on top, but on the other hand there numerous bands playing this style, which are also on top. So I guess it really depends on your personal preferences. However, every Grind maniac is advised to take a listen and as well check out the other bands by Grundar Productions, the self-titled “Home Of Malaysian Death Grind Extremities”. www.facebook.com/chelationband, www.grundar.com
