CONJURETH
Majestic Dissolve

Of course I do not have a crystal ball and therefore I can not see what the future brings. But I am pretty sure the year 2021 will be remembered as the year of excellent Death Metal releases. ALTERED DEAD, DIABOLIZER, SIJJIN, CRYPTS OF DESPAIR, PROSCRIPTION, GALVANIZER, TEMPLE OF DREAD, ALCHEMY OF FLESH, CADAVERIC INCUBATOR, RAPTURE, DRAWN AND QUARTERED, HEXORCIST – the list is getting longer and longer. There have been difficult years regarding the best releases of the year, but I can hardly remember such an amount of candidates. And that are just my personal favorites this year so far, other people may have other preferred albums. CONJURETH, hailing with an unreadable logo from the west coast of the USA, released two demos in 2020 so far and both were published on vinyl the same year. Definitely a first indication that something is coming. And this something is nothing else but an album that will cause an ever flowing stream of tears of joy! At least if you like Death Metal. “Majestic Dissolve” features on one hand a raw and reduced form of Death Metal with an emphasis on the guitar work and the guttural vocals. On the other hand aspects like song-writing and there is no lack of technical handling of the instruments. So CONJURETH are able to combine two elements. First the harsh and rude attitude of the early Death Metal, when this style developed from the foundation of Thrash Metal. Secondly the tight impact of American bands plus the melodies of Swedish Death Metal. Just imagine an unholy monster of early DEATH, AUTOPSY, CANNIBAL CORPSE, MERCILESS and DISMEMBER. Even though I have heard the album dozens of times, my jaw still drops. Still reading?
