DSKNT are a Black Metal band from Switzerland and this is their debut album. Containing 42 minutes of the foulest Death / Black magicks, this album is not for the weak of constitution. DSKNT create music that is threatening and malevolent. Gloomy and disastrous, DSKNT’s art reeks of the subterranean and of murdered guardians. The band’s style is ancient and unfriendly, travelling to the root of the blackened plague, and mixing up crypt-rotten Death Metal with. It is not without atmosphere or melody though, as the band use both well to achieve their nefarious ends. The band play their dark arts at various speeds, but always with the most ominous and blackhearted intentions. Although the majority of these riffs create a haunting and dissonant atmosphere, there are moments that are quite melodic and melancholic. The album is executed in the greatest possible way and there is not a single point where I felt bored, tired or exhausted by it. It certainly is an album that I will be frequently returning to in the future and maybe for many years from now. DSKNT have impressed and terrified.
