The vision that HATEFUL AGONY offer on their fourth album is quite clear and simple: fast and aggressive Thrash Metal. After the first listening to “Obey” one main influence is most evident, namely early KREATOR. Especially the vocalist sounds like Mille himself, the same pressed, aggressive shouting like on “Extreme Aggression” or “Coma Of Souls”. Musically also names like EXODUS, SLAYER or NUCLEAR ASSAULT may give you a hint what HATEFUL AGONY sound like. But the Munich Thrashers are not just a lame copy of the mentioned bands, their song-writing skills are good enough to represent them as an independent band.
