HUMAN WASTE
Human Waste
(self-financed)

With HUMAN WASTE we have a new band from Aachen, Germany, right from the border triangle to Belgium and the Netherlands. But these youngsters might not have done the most clever choice with their band name, since there are and were other bands of that name, one active from Italy and two defunct from Germany and Spain, the latter of them just got honoured with a retrospective on Xtreem Music. But asides from the choice of the band’s moniker, this five-piece has done nothing wrong. Their self-financed debut CD already convinces with a tasty black and white artwork. And musically, the opening ‘Beheaded In The Pit’ is already a fine argument to lend HUMAN WASTE an ear or two. Brutal Death, the American way, is the game the Germans play, and they play it with passion and fine ideas. Not too simple, spiced with a lot of breaks and changes in speed. With the following ‘Decomposing Bodybag’ and ‘Rampage’, the course is finally set in the right direction. Somehow HUMAN WASTE are here to show bands like KATAKLYSM how brutal Death should really be: brutal, rather natural sounding and neither too complicated nor too technical. It’s the balanced way of writing songs that makes this album very enjoyable. Be it ‘Exterminate The Purity’. ‘Bloodignition’ or ‘Your Meathook Awaits’ – they all keep up this pretty high level. And in the end, HUMAN WASTE present us two highlights of the album with ‘Condemned To Endless Suffering’ and its cool brutal grooves and breakdowns plus the final skullsplinter ‘Shattered Bones And Broken Faces’. To sum it up: three and more years of rehearsing and playing live have been worth while for HUMAN WASTE to create a damn good first sign of life.
