IRON FLESH
Limb After Limb

War Anthem Records has put out the newest IRON FLESH album entitled “Limb After Limb”, a 48 minutes aural assault, using the traditional HM-2 Swedish template. The obvious question is, what IRON FLESH is doing, in comparison to what’s out there, which uses the same template? Well, IRON FLESH doesn’t deviate a lot from the approach, but they make up for it in the structure. Their songwriting relies on the age approved Swedish template and it sounds quite fresh to be honest. I know, a HM-2 worship band sounding fresh? You better believe it! IRON FLESH have taken their time and written very catchy and enjoyable rhythm sections which is the best part of the entire album. No, these aren’t necessarily new riffs, these are the same set of notes that we’ve traversed through time in the last three decades, IRON FLESH simply manages to cast their spell here. The band swings between crushy, punchy old school Death Metal and heavy Doom but never loses sight of the destination. On the whole, my only complaint is the length, some tracks could’ve been cut by half a minute or by a minute, but otherwise this is standard Swedish worship that is executed well. No issues here whatsoever! For more information, please visit: www.facebook.com/ironflesh, www.facebook.com/waranthemrecords
