Due to the frightening theory that human beings can only listen to so called butcher music 167 hours per week – a non Metal term which is summarizing every Black / Death Metal band from ANAAL NATHRAKH to ZONARIA – it’s a very hard decision which other Metal style should get a chance during the remaining hour of the week. If you are open minded and bands like DREAM THEATER or the Finnish “Psych-Metal heads” STRATOVARIUS will not cause an immediate heart failure LAST WARNING from Italy can offer an interesting release with their fourth album. The band which is part of the Italian scene since 1987 is not trying to enter the DREAM THEATER universe by starting a guitar duel with the American guitar artists – whom they would not survive without any casualties – they are concentrating on their own style and “Throughout Time” is a good Metal album with some slight progressive influences. The LAST WARNING singer has a suitable voice for the more Power Metal orientated songs (‘Bloody Dream’) but also the less aggressive and progressive songs like the opener ‘Madness’ are not lacking of any power.
