When I first listened to NAUSENAT’s debut demo entitled "Abysmaltician" I was really surprised because I thought I would listen to some new DEMILICH (which is one of my all time favorite Death Metal bands) stuff or to some forgotten demo tracks of these Finnish gods. But no, this Swedish band just sounds very similar to DEMILICH and "Abysmaltician" is nothing but an ass kicking tribute to a legend. I’ve never heard any other band playing this weird, original, outstanding and brutal style so I was (and still are) really enthusiastic about NAUSEANT. Now on this new promo you can hear that DEMILICH is still one of their strongest influences but the Swedish fiends evolved into a more own identity and you don’t have to think on DEMILICH all the time. That doesn’t mean that NAUSEANT drastically changed its style, they just modified it a bit. So if you liked the aforementioned demo you’ll also like the new stuff. NAUSENAT plays a very special kind of finest early 90s Death Metal. I would describe it as brutal technical Death Metal with bizarre riffs, obscure song structures, very deep vocals and a dark, weird atmosphere. Absolutely nothing you’ll find everyday, but it’s not high-tech music suitable only for musicians’ brains. NAUSEANT delivers brutality on a high level but straight enough to bang your head off. Definitely a band worth to check out… even if you’re not such a big DEMILICH worshipper, this is high quality Death Metal the way it should be. NAUSEANT rules!!! www.nauseant.tk
