Italy’s cult Black / Thrash commando NECRODEATH is back with its fifth album. After ten years of silence the two previous comeback albums “Mater Of All Evil” and “Black As Pitch” were examples for excellent in-your-face Black / Thrash Metal and the new album basically offers the same ingredients as its antecessors but is upgraded with a few fresh ideas and features. Although the speed has been reduced a bit, the fundament of rough, pounding Thrash Metal with raspy Black Metal vocals pushes forward the aggressive prevailing mood to which the ambiguous title is alluding. But NECRODEATH did not flinch from expanding their sound with some discreet nuances, the cautious use of acoustic guitars and female vocals add more atmospherical depth. The powerfully produced songs need a few times of listening before they unfold their congeniality, but they keep on growing and show their potential. Altogether this album will surely please every Black / Thrash fan if he / she is willing to invest some small effort to explore this album.
