This infernal horde hails from Italy and totally worships the old school tradition of their ancestors. You can already see this when you have a look at the packaging of the album. And even a couple of naked nuns posing in front of a rock on the backcover, hehehehe. And of course the music follows that left hand path as well. This trio takes influences from bands like Venom, Hellhammer / Celtic Frost, Sodom or their legendary countrymen Bulldozer as well as from bestial South American squads. The ten blasphemous assaults are nothing else than Christ slashing, primitive Black Metal hymns. Of course NECROMESSIAH are far away from being original and their songtitles and lyrics have cliches gallore (I had a big smile in my face after reading them)… but who the fuck cares about this as long as it is played with passion and the whole thing works. The speed of the banger friendly tracks ranges between mid paced and faster sections with bestial outbreaks. They are played simple but effective. No experiments, keyboards or effects here… just pure Metal mayhem. The sound quality is surprisingly good and no need to worry about a kind of “2 tracks rehearsal tape” sound quality. You have some distortions of the guitars but this is done with intention (to underline the old school feel). At the end of the regular set you will hear a hidden track on the disc after a while. Old school Black Metalheads can check them out, it can’t be wrong. A nice blasphemous disc on the Thai underground label Slava Productions. Get in touch with the label at iamsatanist@darksites.com or the band at web.tiscali.it/necromessiah/.
