Militant Heretic Aggression

More aggressive blackened Death Metal has been thrown my way, one should think someone might knew I have a weak spot for brutal outlashings, combining the grim and at times blazing melodies from Black Metal with the relentless brutality and intense overpowering ambiance of Death Metal. NEXWOMB hails from Portland, Oregon and is, on the four tracks this demo contains, delivering an all out blitzkrieg of smashing and brutal Death Metal with a grim Black Metal rasp of a hellish vocal, a good mix of heavy and brutal Death Metal riffing, and more grim and high tuned Black Metal inspired noise. A noisy and chaotic drum attack and an overall atmosphere that is cold, grim and very fitting for an attack as this. Yet a new band from America that are taking on the right approach to conquer parts of the Metal scene, a blistering mix of chaotic Australian War Metal and Canadian noisy madness, so with a little time and some of their own this will become really good, as it already is quite slaying. Militant Heretic Aggression

All that sub-par chatter about wheat fields and equinoxes of the moon from the likes of WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM and their unimpressive crowd seems, at last, to have sufficiently angered true Metalheads in Portland, Oregon to assemble and play fearsome, evil Metal. NEXWOMB formed in 2009; their demo, “Militant Heretic Aggression”, was released earlier this year. More recently a split with GORPHYRYAC, titled “Infernal Warbeasts Of The Necrotorium”, was released on Legion of Wrath Records. The band has much to say this season. As their name implies, NEXWOMB’s music swells pregnant with hatred. A suffocating, deafening heaviness constricts and binds the ears. In a way it’s reminiscent of BLACK WITCHERY. The song ‘Chaostorms (Summon The Gods Of War)”, for instance suggests the Desecrators of the infamous Ross Bay Cult in Canada, and their similarly demonic comrades in Florida (that would be BLACK WITCHERY, of course) were an inspiration to these punishers from Portland. Great stuff, furious and unrelenting Black / Death Metal!!!! www.facebook.com/nexwomb-212852468734393
