‘We Came To Thrash! Screw You, We Came To Thrash! Fuck You, We Came To Thraaashhh!’ Well, I guess we got the message clear enough, didn’t we? Young and relentless Finnish Thrashers NUCLEAR OMNICIDE who recorded their debut album titled "The Presence Of Evil" for the Mexican EMB Records back in 2013, as it appears, haven’t really had any willingness to keep away from the studio environment. The band visited MD-Studio in Helsinki, Finland, at the end of September 2013, to record some new stuff again. The result is this new 6-track EP called "Bringers Of Disease" – and it’s not even a pointless shot in the dark to claim that the NUCLEAR OMNICIDE camp sounds more dangerous, violent and more ready and willing to punch our faces than ever before. NUCLEAR OMNICIDE play the brutal and straightforward kind of Thrash, that has a nice old school vibe wrapped around it. At times some of their riffage even slightly crosses the border of Death Metal here and there, like in a song called ‘Institution (Execution)’, adding in a fair dose of heaviness into their hungry crossfire of Thrash Metal. Then again, a song like ‘Merciless Butcher’ might well be a song off the recording sessions for DARK ANGEL’s "We Have Arrived" album, just kicking our teeth in right from the very start. Since this contains material of an EP length only, I am going to keep my review short this time around too. But in any case, if you feel like getting punished severely, then here’s a pretty fitting disc to offer a plenty of brutal punishment for yourself. But be kindly warned, NUCLEAR OMNICIDE don’t offer any friendly handshakes or light taps on your shoulders on this furiously raging EP: more like 6 hard and hot bullets between your hamburger.
