One aspect about Heavy Metal and its extreme sub-genres I like is the fact that the band name and cover clearly indicates the style. Always fascinating how a collection of letters and a, more or less, well drawn cover stimulate the imagination. ONSLAUGHT KOMMAND from Chile exactly sound like the name and cover suggest. A pile of rotten Death Metal awaits the listener, performed at a fairly high tempo. Six tracks in just under 13 minutes are almost Grindcore like conditions and at some points rather simply structured riffs smuggle in. But do not be fooled, the proportion of Black Metal riffs in the vein of BLASPHEMY is just as high. What makes this this self-titled demo, meanwhile released on CD, cassette and digital, a highly enjoyable matter of Death and Black Metal and Grindcore. You have to cut back on the sound, but that is in the nature of things, when a newly formed band dares to take the first steps in public.
