Poland has always been known for its several and productive Death Metal bands, that are able to do quality, highly likeable stuff. PRELUDIUM, this Polish foursome, has been around since 1999, and "Redemption" is already the band’s 4th studio album within 10 years. Blackened Death Metal is the name of PRELUDIUM’s own game – and damn, this indeed is some great sounding shit. Make no mistake when they surely get often compared to their countrymates in BEHEMOTH due to coming from Poland and having quite a few similarities within their malevolent assault of blackened Death Metal that undoubtedly may link them to BEHEMOTH to some certain degree. However, PRELUDIUM count more on old school, rawer, stripped down and partly even somewhat unorthodox performance in their unforgiving sound, which is packed with crushing heaviness, filled up with varying tempos and full of captivating atmosphere. Every piece on "Redemption" seems to have fallen into the right spots very effortlessly, to make this record a very good and convincing wholeness altogether that the fans of extreme Metal surely can respect. ‘100% guaranteed Polish quality’ is stamped all over this album really, and I am sure many of you will enjoy the heck out of this album too. Also last but not least it also should be mentioned as a single note that the lyrics have been really well and carefully written on "Redemption" by the label owner of Transcending Obscurity Kunal Choksi (inspired by the teachings of Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda).
