Really, this band seems to have released more material in a short time frame. I am a bit confused as both this recording and the other one are exactly the same time of duration…and for that, I guess that releasing both together would make a lot more sense than apart. Oh, well. The thing that remains is that RAKUS sounds as a South American band, no matter they are form Malaysia. And the production in here sounds more polished, especially the drum sound. And the vocals sound a bit more Black Metal orientated. But make no mistake, evil hellish Speed Metal is the name, and SODOM and early SEPULTURA are still the main sounds here. In fact I can hear also a bit of old Punk like in the song ‘FKBN’. Interesting is the mood they set in the song ‘In Silence We At War’ which makes them sound close to NIFELHEIM with a quite good drum job. All in all, a band worth to check out, and if this is any indication of their force to come, then I am all waiting for a damn full length of evil Speed Metal as only these people can conjure. seth_distro@ymail.com, www.facebook.com/seth.distronrec
