Without any further information about this band, its origin and biography I can tell you that this is an average release somewhere between Death, Black and Doom Metal. RESUSCITATOR have their best moments playing slow as fuck, but this doesn’t make this release any special. With thousands of releases months by month I think a release like this is not necessary, I mean it would be ok to consider this as a demo release, official label releases need to sound better today. I’m not really sure what to think about this release, simply because I have my doubts that this is a new recording, but an old one re-released (yes, it originally came out on Wild Rags Records back in 1993 – Frank). Perhaps it is like this, than I would go for their newer releases, but I would prefer to spend my money on something else than this release. Still the brand of chaotic Metal with a certain Black Metal atmosphere has its moments like in the song ‘Black Funeral’ where they show at least some interesting riffs and songstructures. But considering the whole 28 minutes, I’d say that this is far from being enough to let me tell you to buy this CD. Decide for yourself anyway… www.myspace.com/resuscitator
