Pure Heavy Metal is what Tasmanian ROAD WARRIOR delivers. The band first caught my eye, as two members also roam in the splendid Australian thrashy Black / Death Metal outfit CAULDRON BLACK RAM, and quite a heap of other great acts from down under. “Mach II” is the band’s second effort, we had the first album “Power” in 2018, which is a great display of raw and ripping Heavy Metal. The music has become a tad more refined on this recording, together with a cleaner production, which still is organic and powerful, so no worries there. Classic epic Heavy Metal with a good deal of NWOBHM and American Power Metal in the mix, is what the 8 tracks hand us. Well written and energetic tunes with great guitars, powerful rhythm patterns and some really good vocals. If Heavy Metal of any kind talks to you, this album will for sure rock your world.
