Bulgarian darkest sons SERPENTINE CREATION return with a 4 song EP, after two brilliant albums, and some other recordings. And, as everything done by this band there is a lot of quality here. Musically this band reminds me of an early OLD MAN’S CHILD style which is a killer melodic Black / Death Metal. Traces to NECROPHOBIC are also to be found here. Something this band is always able to capture is a heavy, yet clear guitar sound, and this EP continues that same path. Add to that some killer rhythm section, with a present bass and very good drumming. This is the kind of band that is very good playing at quite different tempos. Although they are mostly fast, the last song ‘The Wolfpack’ has some similarities to SAMAEL from the “Blood Ritual” era.
