I might be wrong, but somehow it seems that Black Thrash Metal is the biggest thing in the extreme Metal underground right now. The Serbian TERRÖRHAMMER are another band that sold their souls to the simple black art of thrashing. With two EPs and a demo to date yet, the remaining duo hired a session drummer and recorded their first full length assault "Under The Unholy Command". And after listening to that album three times, I’m pretty sure that these guys were really due for a complete album. "Under The Unholy Command" comes along better than most of the other albums of the genre I heard during the last years. Fresh, with vigour, rage and songs that kick asses, TERRÖRHAMMER thrash through eight songs (and one intro), it’s a sheer delight! From the first riffs of the opening ‘Necro Speed Megalomania’ (what a title!), the band takes no prisoners and fires grenades like ‘Blood For The Countess’ or ‘Hell Commando’. In addition, TERRÖRHAMMER have one or another surprise up their sleeves. Just listen to the rocking and rolling ‘Graveyard Witch’ or the final anthem ‘Church Of Sodomy’ with some fine melody lines included. Let’s make it short here: TERRÖRHAMMER have released the best Black Thrash album of the year, no doubt, so any connoisseur of the genre should immediately visit www.facebook.com/terrorhammer or www.deathrune-records.com
