TERRADOWN are a 5 piece Metal band from the Netherlands and “Judgement” is their first release. The band describes their style of Metal as groovy melo Death Thrash Metal band and cite their influences beginning from AMON AMARTH, AVATAR till KILLSWITCH ENGAGE. Well, they’ve certainly got that part going, the first song ‘Statement’ is a love letter to AMON AMARTH and made me think of the album “Once Sent From The Golden Hall”. Although TERRADOWN have a modern approach to the sound they have definitely managed to open the album on a positive note. I don’t think they’ll ever go down the route of Golden Hall but they sure can add in more influences and take it up a notch higher. The band clearly sounds like they’ve written this album to just play live, I can imagine how they can turn these tunes into excellent on-stage exchanges. We have standard riffing across the album and although they lose steam now and then they still manage to hold on the reins of the music on the whole. The vocalist sounds absolutely ferocious. The drummer is doing a good job. I thought about calling it fine but that’s incorrect. The drummer surely is doing everything right by the book. TERRADOWN hop across influences and what we have here is a genre spanning set of songs that are ideal for the live environment. If TERRADOWN are touring your area, please do go and check them out. It’ll be good fun for sure! For more information, please visit www.facebook.com/terradownofficial or https://www.plugify.nl/terradown
