TORTURE RACK
Primeval Onslaught

No words of wisdom are able to detract from the new level of savagery from Oregon based Death Metal pulverizers TORTURE RACK. Their brand new savagery, entitled “Primeval Onslaught”, continues the legacy of old Death Metal brilliance with a feral intensity and immense morbid atmosphere that will have the most diehards in a state of ecstasy. Developing from their previous brutality, which was perfectly captured on the albums “Barbaric Persecution” and “Malefic Humiliation”, TORTURE RACK definitely surpassed their first two full-length efforts with “Primeval Onslaught”. Their latest pummeling drum composition, grinding guitar riffing, visceral groove and punishing vocal attack is a testament that the band is always on the right track in the rich vein of Death Metal with every release. Barbarity is the word for the first three opening tracks of “Primeval Onslaught”. The sheer heaviness, foulest and most violent images can easily be imagined in the landscape of the song ‘Ceremonial Flesh Feast’. With their single ‘Decrepit Funeral Home’ in the background, that horrific imagination is blinding the eyes quickly into the depraved depths of filthy Death Metal. The torture continues with ‘Forced From The Pit’. It is pummeling the other senses with eminently catchy riffs and twisted melodies. The dramatic solo approach towards the vicious groove is truly a treasure in this song. What comes next is a short but solid single. ‘Morning Star Massacre’ is genuinely pleasant despite being only a one-minute track. Throughout this fourth track, the flaming passion for destroying life with sonic terror to keep pushing their Metal trademark is right there. The same formula emerged in the fifth attack ‘Victims Of Inquisitors’. The bludgeoning blast beats come without warning and with precise momentum. The high energy intensity, while also managing the putrid atmosphere of this song, creates such a rapture. ‘Bone Snare’, ‘Fucked By Death’ and ‘Impalement Storm’ – these three up next are probably the best compositions found in their third album. There are plenty of satisfying elements in between their funeral riffs and heavy Death Metal pacing that create a captivating and entrancing dynamism. The seventh track truly breaks into the multi-dimensional realm of sonic extremity. The bass solo over sick skank-beat rumbling is a bold statement that TORTURE RACK has no weak songwriting. The darkness of death descends with the last two tracks ‘Descent To Infernal Chasms’ and ‘Rotting Insignificance’. Do not expect the band to slow down their pace. Clocking in at 26 minutes, the aim of “Primeval Onslaught” is crushing with no holds barred. Their vile onslaught begins and ends in full force with a constructive dose of classic brutality. With the help of these magical minds, Seánan McCullough and Joe Anderson, who mixed and mastered “Primeval Onslaught”, the production quality is also unlike anything the band has done before. Every minute of the song is incredibly well mixed. It sounds tighter and deeper than ever, which does the album great justice. Furthermore, the creative artistry of ROK from Australian underground legends SADISTIK EXEKUTION, combines the musical and conceptual persona of the latest entry of TORTURE RACK into one comprehensive entity. Now, TORTURE RACK has returned, shaking the underground in their wake. Are you prepared? If you like your Death Metal to be a riff-filled assault, this is the album for you. https://torturerack.bandcamp.com, www.facebook.com/20buckspin
