Night Stalker

The Polish Death Metal band TORTURED CORPSE is very productive and already has three releases out in the short time of their existence. All are limited, pure underground releases, that reflect the fun the guys have with Death Metal. TORTURED CORPSE sound rough, unpolished, primitive (in a positive sense) and are produced in exactly the same way. Rough underground sound is the program here. But that shouldn’t bother you at all, because here the spirit of pure old school Death Metal is lived, as it was celebrated in the late ’80s / early ’90s, when demo tapes from all over the world were still being sent to you enthusiastically every week. The CD version of “Night Stalker” is limited to 30 copies, while the tape, which comes with a different cover artwork and a yellow cassette, is limited to 50 copies. You can also purchase / listen to this EP digitally. Rumbling, deliberately old-fashioned Death Metal in the early American style of the genre comes out of the speakers here. The sound is based on the AUTOPSY debut album and musically the guys are reminiscent of early MASSACRE, MASTER, CANNIBAL CORPSE, IMMOLATION or INCANTATION. Dark and blunt, they get down to business. No complicated song structures, just pure Death Metal doctrine. It has to be right into the face. In addition to three of their own songs, they have also recorded a cover of SLAUGHTER (‘Death Dealer’) and a secret bonus song on the CD version, a live recording that brings the running time of the CD to around 50 minutes. If you like your Death Metal primitive, brutal and ugly, TORTURED CORPSE are the perfect choice. Nothing for aesthetes. E-Mail contact: deathmetalterror@int.pl.
