Let’s keep it short, just like this split EP is. VHS from Canada plays simple Death / Punk with a drum machine, so it’s fast, tight, straightforward and unmemorable, besides each half of every track consists of stupid samples from teenager / slasher movies, so you got about 5 minutes of music. There’s a MISFITS cover ‘Demonomiania’, speeded up but nothing special. ABHORRENT FUNERAL comes from Poland, 3 tracks, 8 minutes, half of them are samples… what is this I am forced to listen to, samples from stupid movies or music? OK, the music side is much better, very low tuned ultra primitive mid-paced Death Metal, and I mean very primitive – tuka-tuka-tuka-tuka beat and a couple fat riffs drives those tracks along. They also do a MISFITS cover, ‘Halloween’, much better in my opinion, still this split is a waste of plastic, listen to it on Bandcamp, pay a dollar if you like.
