VOMITIVE SKULL
Colapso
(Iron, Blood And Death Corporation)
23:48min

You sit unsuspectingly on your chair and then something like this happens! After the tones of the only 46 second long instrumental intro ‘420’ have faded away, you first have to sort your body parts. What kind of Thrash Metal steamroller rolled over you? The title ‘420’ is often used to identify with the cannabis culture, a common code word for cannabis use. Which in turn is associated with feelings of serenity, a feeling of relaxation and a feeling of lightness. That is in stark contrast to the 46 seconds, because only aggressiveness and full speed are present here. Luckily, in the further course VOMITIVE SKULL take their foot off the gas pedal, otherwise it might be too much and the listeners would suffer heart ruptures one after the other. The vocalist sounds pretty close to Tom Angelripper (although the lyrics are in Spanish) and the music also reminds a lot of SODOM during the blissful “Agent Orange” times. What struck me the most next to the first class Thrash Metal, which does not need to hide behind big European or South American names, is the incredibly powerful production. No idea how a couple of newbies who only got together three years ago have such a clear, well-balanced sound. Information is given that “Colapso” was recorded at Kubo Records in La Serena, Chile and mixed and mastered at Organic Wave Studios in Antofagasta, Chile. Well, if I were to make extreme music in Chile, that would definitely be my first address. This EP is a more than promising debut, every fan of classic, late 80s, early 90s Thrash Metal should check it out by visiting www.facebook.com/vomitiveskullchile, www.facebook.com/ibdc666
