Founded in Tampere, Finland around 2010, WÖMIT ANGEL surely can assault anyone fast, just from their moniker. So can be their wild and raw music, which is like an enticing brew that offer mixtures of traditional Black Metal with many Punk and Thrash Metal overtones. Consisting of Atomic Torment (drums), J. Violatör (guitar and backing vocals), and W. Horepreacher (bass and vocals), “Sadopunk Finland” is the fifth full-length in their budding discography. A successor to their previous full length “Under Sadistic Pressure” (2019), this rabid Finnish trio, not only returned with their characteristic filth and menace, also sustained their strength of keeping things possessive from start to finish. As from the very beginning of this record you will enter the Finland of the 90s, with low-tech presentation and high intensity rhythms made to Sado-Punk attack your brain. Raunchy in attitude and diabolic in nature, the Finns certainly have established their style to produce spectacle and shock, as you would expect from a pulp of MOTÖRHEAD, IMPALED NAZARENE and MARDUK. While numbers like, ‘Retributator’, ‘Crushing Suffering’, ‘Stürm-Battalion’, ‘Total Ordeal’, ‘Warhead Evocation’ will retell how strong is their Punk / Crust influences. Still, ‘The Grey Mother’, ‘Mouth Of Darkness’, reminds the strong and archetypical primitive Black Metal root of WÖMIT ANGEL. The production is certainly not clear nor HIFI-sounding, rather nasty and organic Metal sound – the way it should be! The guitars have a very searing sound and W. Horepreacher, who savagely handled both vocal and bass, exquisitely added spiteful essence to each composition. Atomic Torment on drums, finely glued the trio and made sure, your head going to sway violently (especially will do to the devotees of d-beat) throughout the album length.
