ZOMBIESLUT is a German band and this is their second album. They play a very old school Death Metal that much reminds me of IMPETIGO. Low-tuned, brutal, now fast and grinding like a circular saw but then, and more often, slow like a limp undertaker coming to collect your putrid bones. Nothing really new, but very well-done all the same. Great rotten compositions of morbidity, with tunes to them; This is not a wall of noise and aggression for its own sake, there is actual music to be heard, cheerful pieces of grisly melody to walk you to the graveyard. This album doesn’t even lack the traditional horror movie intros, such as an "Evil Dead" sound clip (Why have you disturbed our sleep? …). I reckon their greatest achievement is the recovery of the ambiance of the 80s / 90s that could only be found in bands like MORTICIAN, AUTOPSY or MACABRE. Music with a lot of variation but an all-pervading sense of zany grotesque. Hear those ghoulish vocals intermingling with the sickening instrumental decomposition in headbangers such as ‘Undead Commando’, ‘Lobotomizer’ or ‘Living Corpse’.
