This is a reissue of an album from 2023, originally self released by the Italian band ORGIASTIC PLEASURES in digital format, then produced on tape by the German label Dynamite Productions in 2024 and now on CD format by the Mexican label Iron, Blood And Death Corporation. Here we have a band formed by various members pretty active in the northern Italy Black Metal underground. The band’s name might suggest a sort of tribute to early CRADLE OF FILTH, since the second demo of the British band from 1992 was called “Orgiastic Pleasures”, but actually this is a project focused on very raw bestial Black / Death Metal. The homonymous full length contains 11 tracks and a cover of the classic ‘Sadomatic Rites’ from BEHERIT for almost 30 minutes. The sound quality is very raw and obscure, as usual in this genre, with a dirty and semi-DIY production. The main influences are firmly rooted in the traditional style that has become a cult due to legendary names such as BEHERIT, VON, ARCHGOAT, BLASPHEMY, IMPURITY, MORBOSIDAD and SADOGOAT / SADOMATOR. The attitude is minimalist, both for the sound and the song structures. The overall result is sick and morbid, although ORGIASTIC PLEASURES never reaches the levels of chaotic brutality of bands like CONQUEROR, REVENGE etc. However this is a pretty good album and it has everything in order to keep the purists of the genre satisfied, even the vocals have the typical echo effect in the vein of Nuclear Holocausto Vengeance and Nocturnal Grave Desecrator and Black Winds. At this point, it seems superfluous to emphasize it, but the concept is closely linked to satanic and blasphemous themes.
