MALEVOLENT CREATION‘s Philip Fasciana just gave us an exclusive update about what the band is currently up to: “We’re writing the new album and recording it as we move along. Our bassist Josh Gibbs (ex – SOLSTICE) is recording it, just like the last album we did. We have 6 new songs and 3 that are mixed and mastered, titled ‘Spiteful Revenge’, ‘Empathy Becomes Extinct’ and ‘Heredtrocide’. Century Media will release 2 songs as videos in the spring and we are gonna write 5 more songs and a couple of cover songs. The new album rewards the end of the year and hopefully we will be able to finish all the tours and festivals that got cancelled or postponed due to Corona virus. We have a lot of touring to do. This virus couldn’t have come at a worse time. We are also going to play festivals and tours for the 30th anniversary of “The Ten Commandments” in 2021 and “Retribution” in 2022 as long as we are able to play live. On March 05, 2021 Saturnal Records will release a special boxset from Finland’s BARATHRUM entitled “Demo(no)s”. It will contain three vinyl albums with all the studio material that BARATHRUM recorded before their debut album “Hailstorm”, plus the “From Black Flames To Witchcraft” rehearsal. The boxset will be available with black, bone and witchflame-colored vinyls, housed in a trifold sleeve and includes a woven patch and a 12-page booklet with old interviews and info. Brazilian / German Death Metal quartet INCARCERATION will release a new EP entitled “Empiricism” on April 16, 2021 on vinyl, CD and cassette. It features four brand new tracks. The whole material was recorded and mixed by the band itself and the cover artwork was created by Rodrigo Salvatierra. Each song additionally has its own illustration by Jenglot Hitam. “Empiricism” marks the recording debut of the band’s new guitarists Pedro Capaça (VIOLATOR) and Alex Obscured (OBSCURED BY EVIL, SPEEDWHORE). The vinyl edition will be released via Dawnbreed Records (limited to 500 copies, 200 hand-numbered on black / red and 300 copies on black vinyl). The CD will be available worldwide (except Brazil) via Dawnbreed Records. Misanthropic Records will handle South American territories. The tape edition will be released worldwide (except Asia) via Lycanthropic Chants (33 copies in papyrus / bone color plus slipcase, 66 copies come in red color plus slipcase and 100 copies in red color without slipcase).
