SOMBRE HÉRITAGE is a new melodic Black Metal project from Exu (HAK-ED-DAMM), a veteran of the Québec scene. LIVING GATE, featuring Aaron Rieseberg (YOB), Lennart Bossu (OATHBREAKER, AMENRA), Wim Coppers (OATHBREAKER, WIEGEDOOD) and Levy Seynaeve (AMENRA, WIEGEDOOD), will release their debut EP “Deathlust” via Relapse Records on June 12, 2020 on CD, LP, cassette and digitally. The first single ‘Heaven Ablaze’ is already available for streaming at this location. The band issued the following comments about the release: “We got to be a band through a shared love of golden era Death Metal and are very thrilled to have found a home in Relapse records. Kévin Paradis, the drummer from French Death / Grinders BENIGHTED, has released a play-through video for the track ‘Muzzle’ right here. The song is taken from the band’s latest full length “Obscene Repressed”, which was released on April 10, 2020 via Season Of Mist. Kévin commented on the video as follows: “On BENIGHTED’s new album “Obscene Repressed”, I’ve done my best to mix all my influences together to create the best drum beats and fills possible for the guitar riffing. ‘Muzzle’ is an example of what I’ve tried to do, from the jazzy “chabada” to blast beats, you’ll find many different drumming in just one song.
