What we have here is a great slab of Doom / Death Metal. ANATOMIA comes from Japan and consists mostly of ex-members of TRANSGRESSOR. It is slow, it is crawling, going deep into the filth and matter. Influences are obvious upon the first hearing: AUTOPSY, CIANIDE, DISEMBOWELMENT. But influences come here only as inspiration since ANATOMIA have their own way on imposing decadent aesthetics on their listeners. Music is mostly down / mid tempo with occasional blastbeats. Vocals are among the deepest I have ever heard, but surprisingly you can understand alot of the words. If you like the style that old masters AUTOPSY created there is really a lot to like here – it is disgusting, merging on the putrid gore but deeply immersed in rotting beauty. This is a special album, from a special band not following trends, dedicated to suffocate their listeners in a foul black hole sound of death. What is this black pearl shining deep beyond the layers of funeral smell in the feasting pits? Put it in your CD player and die a sweet death. I like it!
