BURIAL INVOCATION / ANATOMIA
Decomposing Serenades

The debut MCD “Rituals Of The Grotesque” by BURIAL INVOCATION was truly a brilliant piece of darkened old school Death Metal and so I was really looking forward to listen to new stuff from this Turkish band. And hell-yes, the new song ‘Obliterated In An Ignominious Grave’ is worth the wait. This is old school Death Metal at its best. Dark, morbid and brutal, just the way it was meant to be. BURIAL INVOCATION is one of the best ‘new’ bands I’ve heard in a long time. I can’t wait to get my fingers on their debut full-length. I’m not a big fan of pure Doom Death Metal cause most songs bore me to death. But there are a few bands that are able to catch my attention like HOODED MENANCE or ANATOMIA. ‘Drawn Into the Abyss’ is a varied song with a short up-tempo part and a great gloomy atmosphere and it should easily please all fans of this Japanese band. To sum it up, “Decomposing Serenades” is a damned cool split release with two remarkable bands and you should do yourself a favor and buy this as soon as possible. www.darkdescentrecords.com
