There’s nothing like discovering a band that grabs your attention right from the first track. That’s exactly what happened to me with BREEDING CHAOS’s debut album “Distant Planets”. From the moment the opening track ‘Distant Planets’ begins, with that guitar, I knew I was in for an intense ride. The band plays melodic Death Metal with an atmospheric touch in the end, transporting us across heavy riffs and haunting melodies. They move around crushing, guttural growls that definitely add their style to the dynamic range of this album. Tracks like ‘Among The Gods’, ‘Accretion Rate’ or ‘Abysmal Sorrow’ embody the balance between aggression and melody and may define the identity of the band, while tracks like ‘Pillars Of Creation’ or ‘Bitter Closure’ (the closing song) display a more introspective vision of their style. The guitar work, paired with relentless drumming, create a very structured sound. And while the ten tracks only span just under 33 minutes, BREEDING CHAOS makes sure every second is packed with energy and emotion at the same time. A standout moment occurs with ‘Stone Cross’, a song where the band’s melodic elements shine brightest, showcasing a fusion of technical skill and raw emotion. The production quality is polished and allows the natural intensity of the instruments to come clearly. For fans of melodic Death Metal, “Distant Planets” is a journey worth taking. It’s the natural evolution of the band, while still forging their own path in the Metal universe. Keep an eye on them. BREEDING CHAOS is definitely one to watch.
