CEREKLOTH
Reh. / Demo 2009

The 7″ EP “Pandemonium Prayers” from CEREKLOTH was one of the best EPs I heard since a long time. Brutal, tight, very good produced and straight forward Death Metal – impressive and mighty. Recommendable to all true lovers of the Death Metal genre. Their vocalist JBP recently sent me their Reh. / Demo 2009 which was recorded like at the CEREKLOTH compound in February 2009. As we are talking about a rehearsal recording here it’s a fact and no need to complain that the sound can’t mess with the 7″ EP, nevertheless it’s interesting to hear some new songs and recognize that even with a more or less average sound quality the songs still sound very good. If I’m correct informed this Reh. / Demo is not available for sale but for those who are interested can try to contact the band through their myspace-page and ask if they spread (upload…) it anyway. From my point of view this Reh. / Demo helped to manifest my opinion that CEREKLOTH are one of the most promising newcomers I heard lately. This tape made me curious how the next official release will sound like. The included 4 songs will be re-recorded for their debut album around fall 2009 as the band writes. In the meantime I can only advice all of you to check out their 7″ EP “Pandemonium Prayers” through Blood Harvest Records or wait for the MCD with the same name (same songs as on the 7″ EP plus the bonus track ‘Shattered Hourglass’) to be released hopefully this month (June 2009) through Hell’s Headbangers. Hell’s Headbangers will also take care of their debut album. So watch out and check www.myspace.com/cerekloth for news and updates.
