GRAVEWÜRM
Blood Of The Pentagram

GRAVEWÜRM has been around for 20 years and apparently this is their final album. Honestly, they could’ve packed it in much earlier, because this is the lamest, most boring and dull band I’ve ever heard in the realm of Death Metal. Citing NUNSLAUGHTER, GOATLORD and such as their influences, GRAVEWÜRM plod through their material without any fire whatsoever. “Blood Of The Pentagram” doesn’t sound evil, it sounds like a recording of a band which absolutely has no clue how to capture and create a dark atmosphere which is the main thing if you play this super simplistic style. I admit, I’m not the biggest fan of this primordial and simple school of Death Metal, but even I can appreciate bands who have a certain black fire or at least a spark burning through their creations. You won’t find any of it on this flop. It’s totally pointless to continue with this review, as I can’t find anything positive to say. My advice for the band – split up and never tell anyone that you wasted 20 years doing this crap. www.myspace.com/gravewurm, www.hellsheadbangers.com
