The noisy Spanyards are back! Shortly after their split CD with DEPRESSION (on Cudgel) they release their new album. Sounding sort of chaotic whenever they start blasting, HAEMORRHAGE are stronger at the slower parts (check out track 13 called ‘Dirge For The Sick’). To put it nicely: the band doesn’t really belong to the same league of bands like NILE or CRYPTOPSY, but obviously this isn’t their aim anyway as they rather focus on old school Death / Grind. I’ve been thinking about the following word for quite a while and I know it’s problematic, but nevertheless ‘charming’ seems to describe the band appropriately. Somehow they manage to create an atmosphere that reminds me of MORTICIAN, even though they’re not that deep. People with a faible for old school sounds should check out HAEMORRHAGE both on CD (or on picture vinyl!) as well as on tour with CRYPTOPSY in Germany soon. I’ll be there. http://come.to/haemorrhage
