Well, the first song, ‘Empty Thoughts’, wasn’t too bad, but after this one’s finished things fall into decay. Maybe it’s due to the style played here, which is mediocre brutal Death / Deathcore that’s abscent from a dark, or captivating atmosphere and only offers brutality. So, this EP turns out pretty one-dimensional in its emotion and on top of that it misses real catchy riffs or leads which makes it become a superfluous boring experience. Too bad. While two of the 6 songs still had some ok moments (namely ‘Empty Thoughts’ and ‘Falsephobia’), the mosh-groove part in ‘Salvation Spinning From The Grave’ must be a low point on this release. Unfortunatley I can’t give you any details about line-up or recording. The production is focused on bassdrummed heaviness mainly and sounds a bit cosmetic. Pretty clear and professional for a self-financed release. This EP features 7 tracks including an intro and outro, which style could be compared to that of SKINLESS, CARNIFEX etc. but without any blasting which could have increased the intensity. Repetitive riffing without real energy or highlights in a sense of intensity make tracks like ‘Brutal Abstraction’ and ‘Slave’s Anatomy’ hardly distinguishable. Some occasional speed up add some variation, but it is not enough.
