MASSEMORD
The Madness Tongue Devouring Juices Of Livid Hope
(Pagan Records)
35:06min

MASSEMORD hails from Poland and delivers here on their 3rd full length album with the toungebreaking title "The Madness Tongue Devouring Juices Of Livid Hope", one track running 35 minutes – 35 minutes of utter darkness and despair. A bleak slow droning guitarriff begins the journey through madness and desperation. The rhythm is mostly slowpaced and draws, together with the heavily distorted guitars and wellused synthparts, the listener into the universe of MASSEMORD – while the track and atmosphere slowly evolves to disintegrate, to once again evolve into a haunting piece. The band has its roots firmly planted in Black Metal, though invokes a doomy and omnious atmosphere with their simplicity. It is not a groundbreaking album, but it is wellmade music. Frustration, misanthropy, desperation and darkness put on tape – a nice 35 minutes away from the real world. Both the music and vocals are captivating, and do, once in a while sear through skin and bones. www.let-the-world-burn.org, www.pagan-records.com
