MISANTHROPIC RAGE
Igne Natura Renovatur Integra

From east Poland hailing MISANTHROPIC RAGE with their second full length “Igne Natura Renovatur Integra”. Declared as “Avant-garde Black Metal” this record truly is pretty versatile. Is it especially radical against all known Black Metal “rules” and therefore “Avant-garde”? I don’t know. I feel slightly bored: mainly because of the not too inspiring riffing. The Industrial-esque sound and the weird mixed noises. And I got to say they may be able to play their instruments and program the drums well, but what they play seems to be a mix between trying to show off and not really having anything interesting to offer. For example the bass line at the end of ‘Abstrakt’. And just because you switch between growling and clean singing or cut the violent drumming abrupt doesn’t really honor you as a magician in songwriting. The sound itself is very clear of cause and very bombastic. MISANTHROPIC RAGE try to stretch their idea from typical Polish old school Black Metal, through atmospheric and deeply harmonic, to some kind of orchestral Black Metal. Maybe a bit of too much for one record. But hear for yourself: www.facebook.com/misanthropicrage, www.godzovwar.com
