Luckily, the album title is the only thing this band has in common with MUCUPURULENT. Founded in 1999 and consisting of (ex-) members of AGATHODAIMON, NOCTE OBDUCTA, MIRORRED MIND and AVION the band plays Scandinavian styled Death Metal with influences varying from DEMIGOD in some riffs to more melodic acts like CENTINEX or AMON AMARTH as mentioned in the info.This makes them seem slightly similar to their countrymates FLESHCRAWL but MISANTHROPIC work with clean guitars here and there as for example towards the end of ‘Fly’ or in ‘Nervous Breakdown’, to name one difference. Blast beats appear rather seldomly throughout the material which is quite balanced between midtempo and fast parts, not neglecting calmer moments. Production and sound on the nine songs plus intro and – surprise – outro are decent, at least sufficient. I am not too keen on some regular Heavy Metal – resembling riffs incorporated here and there but that’s just a minor thing. So if you are into any to the aforementioned acts or Scandinavian sounding Death Metal with low vocals instead of screamed ones give them a try.
