Kind of going backwards with this band. As I was first introduced to this band’s brutal sounds by way of Rodrigo of Blood Harvest Records with the 7″ EP “Supreme Occult One – The Underground Abhorrence”. Now I have their debut album before me and what a monster of a Death Metal record this is! Heavy, dark, brutal and fast with punishing low vocals the way good Death Metal ought to be and yet just as surprising as the EP was in my opinion, that this is a very “Euro” sounding Death Metal band hailing from Mexico. By this I mean you can plainly hear the elements of this band’s cauldron, acts such a TREBLINKA / TIAMAT, “Soulside Journey” era DARKTHRONE, GROTESQUE, SUFFOCATION / FLESHCRAWL, MORGOTH, OBSCENITY, ABHORRENCE, ADRAMELECH, INTERMENT, among others. Mixed extremely well on this debut record, without over saturating their own original writing and ideas. Fans of SHUB-NIGGURATH take notice! Eight songs of just monumental Death are given here on this CD, and what sweet music this is to these ears! Add with that a solid recording and an expertly designed layout, and you have one of the better debut albums around. Contact: Necroccultus@yahoo.mx.
