NECROPHOR
The Eye Of Terror

The Swedish three piece NECROPHOR already rose some attention last year with their first free demo “Verbum Vexillifer”. This refreshing mix of Death and Black Metal with some well dosed Thrash elements was really enjoyable stuff for the armies of the blood hungry maniacs. Now NECROPHOR are back with another three song demo, entitled “The Eye Of Terror”. Again recorded at legendary Sunlight studios by Tomas Skogsberg, this demo sets in where its predecessor ended. ‘Where Dreams Come To Die’ is a fine mixture of Death and Black Metal with catchy melodies and harmonies. But despite its catchiness, it doesn’t lack energy and aggressive riffing. The other two songs, ‘World Of Flesh’ and ‘Legion’ take the same line as well. Of course NECROPHOR are not a band to set new standards, but on the other hand, “The Eye Of Terror” is very high quality stuff. Pretty enjoyable to listen to, and the final ‘Legion’ with its Doom Metal roots is too good to be overheard. And Tomas Skogsberg did a fine job, as we know from him. So it won’t be a mistake to give them a chance, since “The Eye Of Terror” is available as a free download again. To find out more about NECROPHOR, visit: www.facebook.com/necrophor.
