Great, NECROPSY are back again! Fucking great! Which NECROPSY you may ask? The Finnish band, which released some cool demos back in the early nineties? The German one which released the good "Some Dark Impressions" 7" EP on Century Media back in 1991? Or one of the countless other NECROPSY’s all over the world? It’s the German NECROPSY we are talking about here, but, no – they are not back, it’s another NECROPSY in this case. "Deathprayer" is the debut full-length of this German hopeful and even if it is not 100% convincing I have to say that it has some great moments. First up I like the brutal growling vocals a lot – really good! I like the catchy and groovy riffs but unfortunately the drumsound doesn’t impress me that much. Nevertheless I have to say that their mid-tempo Death Metal tunes shred your ears the way they should and make the listening experience to these 10 songs more than enjoyable. Check out their tunes on their myspace-page www.myspace.com/necropsynrnberg and get in touch with the band directly to buy this album.
